I tell every writer I know – do not pay to be published.
I want to clarify why we charge a fee for submissions to this year’s annual.
- It guarantees your copy mailed to you
- We will be formatting the whole thing
- This year we’re hoping for a hardcover book, not simply a magazine
- We know you are more serious than those who submit without payment
- We will market the publication with ads
We are not a vanity publisher.
Elizabeth River Press is a Charles Cooper’s publisher. Stella Samuel’s publisher, Arzono Publishing is also involved in our process.
We are not editing your work.
You are not paying us to do anything with your work.
You keep all copyrights to your work. We only ask that we be the only place to publish your piece for the first 30 days upon release of the Annual. After that, you may share, submit, post on your blog…wherever you find your audience, we will support you and your endeavors.
After taking a break from publishing, I see an enormous need in mediums for authors to find their tribes.
We want to help you find your tribe.
As always, thank you.
Stella
